These terms are provided in English. In case of any discrepancy between translated versions, the English version shall prevail.

1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Datalic! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Datalic platform, including our website, applications, and AI-powered data analytics services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Datalic is an AI-powered data analytics platform that enables you to:

  • Upload and analyze data files (CSV, Excel)
  • Connect to cloud spreadsheets (Google Sheets, OneDrive)
  • Connect to databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Ask questions about your data in natural language
  • Generate visualizations and reports automatically
  • Use conversational AI for quick Q&A or agentic AI for autonomous analysis

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Your Data and Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your data. By uploading data or connecting data sources, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

4.2 Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to upload and process the data you provide
  • Your data does not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • You will not upload malicious content or attempt to harm our systems
  • You will comply with applicable data protection laws

4.3 Data Processing

For uploaded files and cloud sheets:

We store your data securely to enable analysis. You can delete your data at any time.

For database connections:

We only store connection credentials. Queries run directly on your infrastructure. Your actual database data never leaves your servers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload data containing personal information without proper consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or decompile our software
  • Use the Service to compete with Datalic
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use
  • Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Violate the rights of others

6. Subscription and Billing

6.1 Plans

We offer Free, Pro, and Team plans. Features and limitations vary by plan. See our pricing page for current details.

6.2 Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated.

6.3 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to features. No credit card is required to start. Your trial will not automatically convert to a paid subscription.

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until then.

7. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Google: For Google Sheets integration
  • Microsoft: For OneDrive/Excel integration
  • AI Providers: OpenAI and Anthropic for AI features
  • Stripe: For payment processing

Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Google User Data

Notwithstanding anything else in these Terms, Google user data accessed via Google APIs is used solely to provide the user-requested functionality and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use requirements).

Specifically, Google user data will not be used for advertising, will not be sold to third parties, and will not be used for purposes unrelated to the core analytics functionality you explicitly request within Datalic.

9. Microsoft User Data

Notwithstanding anything else in these Terms, Microsoft user data accessed via Microsoft APIs (including OneDrive and Excel data) is used solely to provide the user-requested functionality and in accordance with the Microsoft API Terms of Use.

Specifically, Microsoft user data will not be used for advertising, will not be sold to third parties, and will not be used for purposes unrelated to the core analytics functionality you explicitly request within Datalic.

10. AI-Generated Content

Our AI features generate insights, visualizations, and reports based on your data. You acknowledge that:

  • AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You should verify AI-generated insights before making business decisions
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI outputs
  • You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Datalic and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our Service without our written permission.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Datalic and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service:

  • If you violate these Terms
  • If required by law
  • If you engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct
  • If your account is inactive for an extended period

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may delete your data after a reasonable period following termination.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
